Singapore - Phu Quoc Flight Route Launched by Sun Phu Quoc Airways
Sun Phu Quoc Airways (SPA) officially launched its fourth international route, connecting Singapore and Phu Quoc, on July 25, with daily flights between the two destinations.
Flight 9G721 departs Phu Quoc at 10:35 AM and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 1:20 PM (local time). The return flight, 9G720, leaves Singapore at 2:20 PM and lands in Phu Quoc at 3:05 PM.
Singaporean traveler Lim Mei Ling shared that her family chose the new route because of its convenient schedule and value-added fare, which includes 23 kg of checked baggage, complimentary meals, and beverages. She also appreciated the airline's child fare policy, with tickets priced at 75% of the adult fare, making it an attractive option for families traveling with children.
A "Resort in the Sky" Experience
Across its network, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is developing its signature "Resort in the Sky" concept, aiming to deliver a travel experience inspired by international five-star hospitality. Strengthening Phu Quoc as a Regional Aviation Hub
According to the airline, the new Singapore route is supported by a strategic partnership between Sun Group and Changi Airports International (CAI). Together, they are developing Phu Quoc International Airport under the concept of a "destination airport," creating a seamless travel experience from airport arrival to final destination.
The Singapore service follows the airline's earlier launches to Taipei, Seoul, and Hong Kong. Beginning August 8, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is scheduled to inaugurate flights to Bangkok, while also preparing to expand its international network to Malaysia, India, Japan, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

Expanding Both International and Domestic Networks
On the same day, July 25, SPA also launched two new domestic routes: Hai Phong – Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong – Phu Quoc
These additions further develop the airline's hub-and-spoke network, positioning Phu Quoc as its central hub. Future domestic routes to Da Lat, Can Tho, and Buon Ma Thuot are also planned, improving connectivity between Phu Quoc and key economic regions across Vietnam.
Fleet Expansion Planned for 2026
To support its rapid growth, Sun PhuQuoc Airways plans to expand its fleet to 32 aircraft in 2026, including the introduction of Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft starting in September.
The expanded fleet will enable the airline to operate more medium- and long-haul international routes as part of its "Rise to the World" strategy. According to the airline, this long-term vision aims to establish Phu Quoc as a new regional gateway for tourism, business, and international connectivity.
