Golf brand Malbon to launch first ever store in Vietnam
Golf has long been perceived as a sport associated with success and social status, closely linked to the business community and a curated lifestyle—largely due to its high costs and exclusive social environment.

In Vietnam, however, this perception is gradually changing as two parallel trends emerge: the rapid growth of the golf fashion market and the rise of a young, globally minded generation with a strong sense of aesthetics, who increasingly view sports as a natural part of modern living.
Recognizing this shift, Malbon—a sports-inspired lifestyle brand from Los Angeles—officially opened its first fashion store in Vietnam on January 9, marking a new milestone in its global expansion journey.
Malbon redefines golf through fashion and culture
Founded in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon, the brand was born from a desire to redefine golf culture for a new generation. With its slower pace and strong sense of connection, golf became a spiritual anchor for the founders during a transitional period in their lives, inspiring a more approachable and open way of engaging with the sport.
In Vietnam, Malbon positions itself as a bridge between golf and creative fields such as art, design, music, street culture, and lifestyle. This approach allows golf—once considered exclusive—to gradually integrate into urban life with a younger, more flexible identity.
Positioned in the premium sports-inspired lifestyle segment, Malbon develops its products around three core pillars: Basics, Performance, and Collaborations. This strategy enables the brand to balance functionality and aesthetics while creating cultural dialogue through seasonal collections, the Icons line, and limited editions designed specifically for the Vietnamese market.
Drawing from personal experiences, Malbon has shaped a fresh perspective—freeing golf from traditional frameworks and placing it within the rhythm of contemporary life. Fashion, music, art, and streetwear spirit are brought onto the golf course, allowing players not only to participate but also to freely express their individuality.
This philosophy has generated wide cultural resonance, connecting Malbon with global pop culture icons such as Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, and Kevin Hart, while also earning recognition from top professional golfers, including Jason Day and Minjee Lee.
Malbon launches its first fashion store in Vietnam

In Vietnam, Malbon’s first store is located on Dong Khoi Street, one of Ho Chi Minh City’s most iconic and vibrant boulevards. The two-story, 250-square-meter space is conceived as a cultural hub, where golf, lifestyle, streetwear, and globally inspired collections engage directly with the pulse of urban life.
This launch not only builds on Malbon’s success in the Philippines and China, but also reinforces its long-term growth strategy in Asia, while underscoring the brand’s core belief: golf is not just a sport, but a cultural language that connects people, identity, and community.
Looking ahead, Malbon Vietnam plans to expand its presence through e-commerce platforms, pop-up stores, and a series of community-driven activities in key cities such as Hanoi, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc. These efforts will be accompanied by collaborations with local creatives and collections infused with indigenous cultural spirit.
