New Direct Flight from Singapore to Da Nang

Low-cost carrier Scoot Airlines has just launched a new direct route between Singapore and Da Nang, increasing the total number of weekly flights between the two destinations to 24 per week.

The inaugural flight, TR314, departed from Changi Airport (Singapore) and landed safely at Da Nang International Airport on the afternoon of October 20, carrying 174 passengers. This marks Scoot’s first-ever operation in the central Vietnamese city.

At the international terminal’s arrival hall, local representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Airports Authority, and the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Company warmly welcomed passengers with flowers and small souvenirs — a sweet touch that delighted even the youngest travelers.

Scoot’s Singapore–Da Nang route will operate three times per week (on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) using Airbus A320 aircraft with 180–186 seats, and the airline plans to increase to daily flights by January 2026.

According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of Da Nang’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of Singaporean visitors to Da Nang has been steadily growing thanks to convenient flight connections and cultural similarities within ASEAN.

“With the addition of Scoot, all three carriers — Singapore Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Scoot Airlines — now connect Singapore and Da Nang directly, offering a total of 24 flights per week. This expansion will help boost tourism exchanges and strengthen international cooperation in the coming months,” he shared.

A subsidiary of Singapore Airlines Group, Scoot currently flies to over 70 destinations across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe, including Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Athens, Berlin, and Vienna. In Vietnam, Scoot already serves Ho Chi Minh City (7–14 flights/week), Hanoi (5 flights/week), and Phu Quoc (6 flights/week), with plans to launch Cam Ranh flights in November 2025 (2 flights/week).

Earlier this month, on October 2, Da Nang also resumed direct flights from Shenzhen, marking the return of Chinese visitors — one of the city’s key tourism markets.

In the first eight months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed around 5 million international visitors, a 23.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The reopening of direct international routes is expected to further drive growth from major markets like China and Singapore in the final months of the year.
