A radiant space amid the countryside of An Phú

Against the clear blue sky of the days leading up to Tết, millions of sunflowers burst into bloom simultaneously, blanketing a vast area in golden hues. From afar, the field resembles a shimmering golden carpet, creating a scene that is both brilliant and serene, making many visitors feel as if they have wandered into a fairytale land.

Millions of sunflowers bloom in unison, painting a vast area of Quảng Ngãi in bright yellow.

The sunflower variety grown here reaches an average height of about one meter, standing tall with lush green leaves stretching toward the sun. Each flower blooms large, with thick petals and a vivid yellow color, forming a perfect backdrop for memorable photos. The flower beds are neatly arranged, creating wide pathways that allow visitors to stroll comfortably and admire the scenery.

The flower rows are planted in straight, orderly lines, opening up spacious paths for visitors to explore.

Turning abandoned land into a tourism destination

Few people know that this sea of golden flowers was once an abandoned plot overgrown with weeds. Ms. Bùi Thị Mỹ Trinh, the garden owner, shared that her family decided to reclaim and transform the land by planting flowers, creating a recreational space for local residents during the Lunar New Year.

To achieve the results seen today, Ms. Trinh’s family faced many challenges. The sunflowers were sown in early October and took around 60–70 days to begin blooming. The cultivation process was made more difficult by unpredictable weather and prolonged periods of storms and heavy rain. According to Ms. Trinh, the family had to monitor the garden constantly, almost “eating and sleeping with the flowers” for weeks to ensure they bloomed at the right time for Tết.
