Exclusively: A day golfing at KN Golf Links
The first time stepping onto KN Golf Links Cam Ranh, I was instantly impressed by its 27-hole layout – divided into 18 coastal links-style holes and 9 lush garden-style Oasis holes.
I’d heard before that the course was awarded “Vietnam’s Best Golf Course 2019 – Asian Golf Awards”, but it wasn’t until I stood on those rolling fairways, surrounded by native grass and scattered natural bushes, that I truly understood what made it special. The sea breeze here is practically a signature feature – sometimes gentle, sometimes fierce enough to challenge every shot, but that’s also what makes each swing full of excitement.
Hole 15 is the one I remember the most – a par 4 that looks fairly simple at first glance, but only reveals its difficulty once you tee off. Slightly downhill towards the sea, narrow fairway, out-of-bounds on the right, and strong headwinds… let’s just say it demands strategy. It’s where I had some of my most thrilling (and nerve-wracking) shots of the entire round.
After battling the dramatic dunes of the Links course, I moved to the 9-hole Oasis, and it felt like entering a completely different world. No more rugged contours – instead, wide fairways and interconnected natural and artificial lakes flowing between greens, creating a serene and refreshing landscape. The Oasis course won “Vietnam’s Best New 9-Hole Golf Course 2019”, and I can fully see why.
What surprised me even more was that the Oasis course has night-lighting, perfect for evening rounds when the weather is cool and the greens shimmer beautifully under the lights. I hadn’t played much night golf before, but here it felt like something worth doing at least once.
From Cam Ranh International Airport, it takes only 5 minutes by car to reach the course. I flew from Ho Chi Minh City and played the same day without any hassle. And if you prefer a longer golf getaway, Wyndham Grand KN Paradise sits right inside the complex, meaning you can literally walk from your room to the tee box.
The course has received even more recognition recently – “Best Tournament Venue” in 2022, Top 10 Golf Courses in Vietnam, and was ranked 7th among the Top 10 Courses in Vietnam by Golf Digest. Based on my experience, every award feels well-deserved: well-maintained facilities, thoughtful service quality, and most importantly, a golfing experience that stays with you.
By the end of the day, I left KN Golf Links tired but incredibly satisfied. If anyone asks me for a course that’s scenic, challenging, and perfect for combining golf with leisure, I’d mention this place without hesitation.
